Q: What does a typical week of camp look like?
A: Click Here to view a schedule for a typical week at camp.
Q: When can I drop off my child?
A: On the first day of camp (typically Monday), campers can be dropped off at 8:30am when registration starts. After the first day of camp, campers can be dropped off starting at 8:45am.
Q: When should I pick up my child?
A: Camp will end at 12:00pm each day. Please make transportation plans to have your child picked up promptly by noon.
Q: What should my child wear to camp?
A: Campers are welcome to wear shorts and a t-shirt to camp due to the warm summer temperatures (some prefer to wear baseball pants to protect them when they slide). Cleats or Tennis Shoes are the recommended footwear, and every player should wear a hat. If a player wears metal spikes, they must also bring tennis shoes to use when in the batting cages. No metal spikes are allowed in the batting cages.
Q: What should my child bring to camp?
A: Refillable water bottle with ice, snack, glove, helmet, and bat. Catchers are encouraged to bring their catching gear (if they play that position). As much as possible, all items should be labeled to avoid any confusion about who the equipment belongs to.
Q: How are the campers grouped and organized?
A: Campers are grouped by playing age and skill level. On the first day of camp, campers are assigned to a team that they will stay with for the entire week (unless Coach Stas decides a change is necessary). A camp staff member will be assigned to work directly with each team while Coach Stas manages the entire camp operation.
Q: Can I request for my child change teams?
A: Please do not make requests to have your child change teams. Significant thought and planning goes in to organizing each team. When teams are organized, we consider many factors in an attempt to balance them (i.e. the number of total campers on each team, the skill level of the campers on each team, the positions played by the campers on the team, etc.). Having campers switch teams can disrupt this balance. If your child communicates that he/she wants to change teams due to issues with another camper, please notify Coach Stas so he can address the situation.
Q: Are the live games “coach pitch” or “kid pitch?”
A: All 8U games will be “coach pitch” games for the entirety of camp. Games at the 9U and older level will be “kid pitch” games. Pitchers in “kid pitch” games will be limited to 1 inning per day. If there are no pitchers available for “kid pitch” games, they will become “coach pitch” games.
